Will Arnett: Hairline & Wig or Real Hair

Performed at authorized partner hospitals Turkey Hair Center is a Ministry of Health authorized health-tourism intermediary, not a clinic.

There is no public record of a Will Arnett hair transplant: the actor has not said he had one, and no confirmed procedure has been published. What people notice is a hairline that looks different across two decades of photos, and that change has several ordinary explanations.

In this 2025 photo his hair is short at the sides and pushed back on top, with some grey showing. The temple corners sit a little higher than the middle of the hairline, a shape that is common in men in their fifties.

Searches for will arnett hair usually start with Arrested Development, which began in 2003, and end with recent red-carpet photos. This page sets out what is actually on the record, what is speculation, and how to think about a receding temple corner if you see one in your own mirror. It does not guess at treatments.

Will Arnett's Hairline: What Changed

Viewed side by side, older and newer photos of the Canadian actor show differences at the temples and in how the front is styled. In some years the hair is cut short and pushed up; in others it is longer and swept forward or to the side. Those choices alone change how deep the temple corners look.

In 2008 the hair was cut short and brushed forward, and the temple corners were already set back from the centre of the hairline. That is the starting point most comparisons skip when they hold up a recent photo.

Will Arnett hair loss has never been the subject of an interview we could find. A visible change in a hairline is a style and lighting question first. Without a statement from the person, a photo cannot tell you whether any treatment happened.

By 2016 the hair on top was longer and swept up and to the side, and he wore a full beard. Under a looser cut and stage lights the temples are partly covered, which shows how much styling alone changes the picture.

Did Will Arnett Have a Hair Transplant?

No confirmed procedure has been published. Arnett has not described a transplant, medication or any hair treatment in an interview or post that we could find, and we found no reliable report quoting him on the subject.

Pages that state a date, a graft count or a technique for him are repeating guesses. If a source gives a will arnett hair transplant date without quoting him, treat it as an opinion.

Wig, Hairpiece or Real Hair?

There is no public evidence that Arnett wears a wig or hairpiece, and he has not said so. It is worth knowing how each option works, because the question comes up for many actors and the honest answer is usually "we cannot tell from photos".

OptionHow it attachesUpkeepChanges over months?

Film and television also use hairpieces for roles, which is a costume decision rather than a personal one. A full head of hair in one role and shorter hair in another is common for working actors.

Five factors that change how a hairline looks in photos: overhead light, hair length, styling direction, camera angle and hair colour

What Is Confirmed and What Is Speculation

What is confirmed is short: Arnett is a working actor whose hairstyles have changed between roles and over the years. Nothing else about his hair is on the record in his own words.

The rest falls into speculation. That includes any claim that he "clearly" had surgery, any graft estimate, and any claim about where or when. A useful test for any celebrity hair article is simple:

  • Does it quote the person directly?
  • Does it link to the interview or post where they said it?
  • Does it separate what a photo shows from what the writer believes?

If the answer to the first two is no, the article is commentary.

Could It Be Non-Surgical Treatments?

There is no public information that Arnett uses any treatment. In general, the NHS lists finasteride and minoxidil as the main treatments for male pattern baldness and notes they work only while they are taken. Haircut, colour and styling products change appearance without changing hair count at all.

What Men With Similar Hair Loss Can Learn

Temple corners are where male pattern loss often starts. MedlinePlus describes the usual male pattern as loss that begins above both temples and moves back into an "M" shape, sometimes with thinning at the crown. Our Norwood scale guide shows each stage.

Three hairline diagrams showing a juvenile hairline, a slight temple recession and deeper temple corners, with the original line marked in gold
  • A small rise at the temples in your twenties or thirties can settle into a stable, mature hairline.
  • Corners that keep moving back year after year are more likely pattern loss.
  • Photos taken a year apart in the same light are more reliable than a mirror.

Natural hairlines are not symmetrical. A 2025 study of 125 men in the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery found that hair at the right and left hairline grew at clearly different angles. A slightly uneven temple is normal and is not a sign of a procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions

When Did Will Arnett Get a Hair Transplant?
There is no confirmed date because there is no confirmed procedure. Arnett has not said he had a transplant, and no reliable report quotes him saying so. Dates given online come from photo comparisons, which cannot establish whether, or when, any treatment took place.
Why Does His Hairline Look Fuller Now Than in Arrested Development?
We cannot say from photos. Haircut length, styling direction, lighting and camera angle all change how full a hairline looks. Arnett has not explained any change, so any single reason given online is a guess rather than information from him.
Are Temple Corners Harder to Transplant Than a Straight Hairline?
They need careful planning. The temple area joins the front hairline to the sides, and hair direction changes there. Surgeons map the existing growth direction first, because natural hairlines are asymmetric. Our hairline transplant cost guide explains how hairline work is planned and priced.
Can Medication Alone Rebuild a Temple Corner?
The American Academy of Dermatology says minoxidil can help early hair loss but cannot regrow an entire head of hair, and that results take 6 to 12 months. Temples that are already bare usually respond less than thinning areas. Ask a doctor before starting any medication.
Is a Receding Temple Always the Start of Full Baldness?
No. Many men develop a mature hairline with a small rise at the temples that then stays stable. Progressive loss tends to show as corners that keep moving over several years, often with crown thinning. A doctor can tell the two apart.
Which Hair Transplant Technique Was Used?
None is on record, because no transplant has been confirmed. Arnett has not named a method, a surgeon or a clinic. In general, the NHS describes two methods: FUT, where a thin strip of skin with hair is taken from the back of the head, and FUE, where individual hairs are removed one by one. Pages that name his technique are guessing.
How Many Grafts Were Transplanted?
There is no graft number to report. A graft count can only come from the patient or the team that treated him, and Arnett has not described any procedure. Numbers quoted online are estimates made from photographs, and a photograph cannot show whether any follicles were moved.
Where Did Will Arnett Get His Hair Transplant?
No clinic, city or country is on record. Because Arnett has not said he had a transplant, there is no location to confirm. Any claim linking him to a named clinic or to Turkey should quote him or a reliable report, and we found neither.
Is Will Arnett Experiencing Hair Loss?
He has not said so, and we found no interview in which he discusses his hair. Recent photos show greying hair worn short at the sides, with temple corners a little higher than the centre. That outline is common in men his age, but only an examination can tell a mature hairline from progressing loss.
